We take our responsibilities on the personal data that is shared with us very seriously. We promise to keep this safe and secure and use it only for the purposes for which it was collected and not do anything that wouldn’t be reasonably expected.

Curated Abilities is a private limited company (company number - 12826542) and a company limited by guarantee (company number 4511426). Our registered address is 38 Queens Court, Queens Road Richmond, TW10 6LB.

What information Curated Abilities may collect about you:
Personal data only includes information relating to living people who: can be identified or who are identifiable directly from the information in question; or, who can be indirectly identified from that information, in combination with other information.

Benefit entitlements

However, personal information must also relate to and concern an individual in some way; that is, it must be directly about and personal to the individual and their activities.

How Curated Abilities will use this information:
Rest assured, our intentions are always good. We collect information because we need it to help us carry out our work, fulfil your requests and keep in touch with you with relevant communications.

Record how you’d like to hear from us

Ensuring we are being compliant with various laws
Inviting you to participate in Curated Abilities surveys so we can continually improve what we do

Occasionally we may include information in our newsletters and magazines from partner organisations. We do our best to make it easy for you to tell us how you’d like us to communicate with you. Our communications all have opt-out statements in them, and the opportunity to indicate your preferences. We will only use your information for the purposes for which it was obtained. We will never sell or share your personal information with other organisations for their own marketing purposes. 

We may want to use some of the information provided, including gender, age or the type of disability, to publicise Curated Abilities work. We will only make this information publicly available if we have the explicit and informed consent of the individuals concerned.

Keeping your data safe 
Your information is held on systems that we maintain and manage securely. We ensure that there are technical controls in place to protect your personal details. We undertake regular reviews of who has access to information that we hold to ensure that your information is only accessible by appropriately trained staff. We may have a legal obligation to disclose your details, if required, to the police, regulatory bodies or legal advisors.

How long we keep your data for:
We keep your data for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, taking into account guidance issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office. The length of time that data will be kept depends on the reasons for which we are processing the data and on the law or regulations that the information falls under, such as financial regulations, Health and Safety regulation etc., or any contractual obligation we might have – such as local government contracts.

It’s important to us to be able to keep your information up to date and as accurate as possible. This is part of our obligation to comply with data protection law.

If you would like to access your information, then please email us in the first instance – hello@curatedabilities.com detailing the information you’d like to see. We will need to verify that this is you, so you may be asked to write to us or make the request and show proof of identity via Teams/Zoom.

Curated Abilities cannot guarantee your connection to the internet is always secure. Please be aware that this is your responsibility. Curate Abilities values you and your data and will take every reasonable step to ensure a safe and secure browsing experience but it cannot be held liable for data loss or issue whilst accessing our services. By browsing our site and using our digital services you agree to our privacy policy and the limitations outlined therein. Curated Abilities is a UK registered company and subject to all UK legislation regarding data protection.
